In the 60's a district sister noted that there were a lot of physically handicapped people on Aruba, who were isolated by their fate. Many lack the possibility to come into contact with other
people, or to partake of activities.

These were all motives for sister Gaudiosa to take on this work in 1968 and through the years it has evolved
into the present FUNARI.
Since march 13, 1979 FUNARI has become an official foundation.
OBJECTIVES OF FUNARI
-Elimination of the isolation a lot of physically handi-capped find themselves in by offering different activ-ities.
-Next to this the "Cas Di FUNARI" (house of funari)
functions at the same time as meeting centre for these
partners of misfortune.
WHO CAN COME TO FUNARI ?
People who, for whatever reason, have become phys-ically handicapped and feel the need to undertake something with others or individually.
Age limit from 18 years up to 65 years.
